Thanks for posting this article Steve. I’ve long had an interest in this public access issue. Many years ago, whilst attempting to represent the farming fraternity in Wellington, I used to take great delight in asking “What’s that thing on your belt? ” Answer was usually along the lines of ” Oh that’s my swipe card for the building I work in.” I loved it…on one hand they wanted me to open my gates wide whilst they had the perfect means of keeping theirs shut. Aunty Helen has much to answer for over the quality of this debate. By the way how is St James Station looking now it’s in public ownership and management?
